This years displays will represent countries from around the world.
When Christ came as a baby it changed the whole world. Still, today, He is at work changing lives through us and other christians worldwide. We aim to reflect this with a mission at work in each of the countries depicted.

Purposes:
- To celebrate with our community the Lord Jesus’ Birthday
- To create an event that presents God’s message in a sensory way
- To honour our creative God with our creatice gifts
- To inspire and encourage people to understand more of our Lord Jesus

‘The Star of Christmas – Jesus’, or STAR as it is commonly called, has been run by our church family since 2002. Originally run annually, it is now held every second year.

STAR has been held once at The Orchard (Click here to view photos). In fact, STAR opened the afternoon following our first service. With moving and STAR preparation all happening simultaneously it created a highly challenging, but rewarding, few weeks!
Now we are settled at The Orchard, and are all familiar with the space, we are looking forward to this year’s STAR event.

Each Star year we try to highlight something new about the Lord, and His relationship with His people. This is done by a huge team of multi-gifted people who create visual displays to tell sotries about our wonderful Saviour.
Also, a supper/cafe area is provided for people to come and share time together – with a Christmas sales area , including fresh produce and home baking, a book stall and a kids table.
Evening programmes hosting an array of talent, including our own STAR choir, perform most evenings.
