We have a dream…

Not so long ago we took a tremendous step of faith to build and move into our new facilities here at The Orchard, some time before we did this we considered as a Church what we were really striving for, this dream was formed from a united hope for the future.

We dream of a church where Jesus Christ is our awesome God, who receives pleasure and honour through all that we do and all that we say. Whose members have their own personal relationship founded in Jesus Christ, and let their lives reflect that friendship.
Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:29 to 5:2 & 10; Galatians 4:19

We dream of a church where the Bible is foundational, and so is the basis of all we do.. Where God’s Word is taught to all levels of spiritual and physical maturity.

Such a church will bring skill, training and leadership to help the whole Christian family understand how God created and gifted them; so each individual can fulfill their role towards achieving our collective dream. A place where every person enjoys serving the Lord by serving others.
Ephesians 4:11-13; Colossians 3:16–4:1; 2 Timothy 3:16–17.

We dream of a church where all who belong feel loved as they are, but loved too much to be left as they are.
Where the broken-hearted find healing, the hurting find comfort, the rejected find acceptance, the confused find counsel and the troubled find peace. A church which oozes joy and happiness in a relaxed environment.

We dream of a vibrant church that impacts it’s community, as Jesus Christ’s own neighborhood experienced.
Matthew 11:19; Ephesians 5:1 &  4:1–6; Philippians 2:1–5.

We dream of a church that learns to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, being daily changed by His counsel, conviction and leading, and embarks on ventures for God that can only be achieved with the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:16; Romans 8:1-17 & 8:26; Galatians 5:22 & 25; Ephesians 5:2.

We dream of a church family who show a prayerful and planned passion to help people find Jesus, both local and overseas; where new Christians are continually being born into the family and multiple lives are being changed with ongoing growth. Such a church will warmly welcome others.
Matthew 9:37-38 & 28: 16-20; Luke 19:10; Acts 1:8.

We dream of a church that serves its community by upholding the family unit; as a church family being an example of family living; offering life skills to others.
Genesis 1:26-31; Matthew 19:4-6; John 17; Ephesians 5:21-6:4; 1 Timothy 3:4-5 & 5:4-8.

We dream of facilities that are seen as the hub from which Jesus ministries are expressed with impact into the community.

We dream of such a church, that, because of it’s reputation, people will want to be part of this Christian family.
Acts 2:47 : Romans 14 :18
